Edenvale Billy, which won outright Spratt’s silver cup, is considered to be one of the best black spaniels ever «een in New Zealand. In fox terriers, Maidstone. Jack showed up very well, and an' excellent contest it was between this animal and Maidstone Showman. In the smooth-haired variety Peace Girl showed up very nicely. Briar Bickford was an almost perfect specimen of the wire-heaired variety j 'and won his classes easily. • The Ladies’ Clafe, Bracelet, and Winners’ Class excited keen competition, all breeds‘being represented. The judge—the local all-rounder, Mr J. D. .Graham —handled the well, and his awards were received with applause. In the Ladies’ Class the honours went to Miss lua Johnson’s blue roan cocker. Sly Gambler, who was shown in perfect bloom. The Bracelet went to Mr Htrdie’s well-known wire terrier. Briar Bickford, who also carried off the Winners’ dates, after a great tussle with the black cocker Edenvale Billy and the Irish setter Master Rheola.

Hodges’ five-guinea special prize for most points in classes 405 to 112 went to Mrs Wall, Mrs S. Bolton’s five-guinea- prize for most' points in classes 109 to 112 was captured by B. H. Slack. The N.Z. Miiking Shbrthorn Association’s special two-guinea prize went to Mrs Wall, and the three-guinea prize from the same Association for the best yearling heifer went to B. H. Slack. The Wanganui Dairymen’s Cup, was won by Mrs Wall. \ Mr T. A. Duncan’s cup t for most points in classes from 52 to 75 was won by Mr P. Moore. Mr Wyvern Moore’s special prize for most points in classes 60 to 67 was won by Mr F. Moore. The New Zealand Breeders’ gold medal for best bull was won by Mr G. P. Moore. =

The Messrs McGregor’s oup for novices was annexed by Mr E. M. Cranstone. Mr 6. P. Moore’s cup for best Hereford bull was won by himself, and was returned for competition. Mr S. Wilson’s special prize’for most points in classes 128 to 130 was captured by Mr H. Middleton, who also won the N.Z. Friesian Association’s special prize for brat Friesian bullock. Mr G. Handley’s special prize format bullocks suitable for freezing was wone by Mr T. A. Duncan. Mr Wyvern Moore’s special prize for best fat bullock, any age, was won by Mr G. F. Moore.

The cattle stewards’ special prize for two fat bullocks was captured by Mr T. A. Duncan.
