BOARD OF GOVERNORS.

The monthly meeting of the Board of Governors of the Girls’ College was held on Thursday afternoon, when there •were present: Mr D. McFarlane (chairman), Mrs Mackay, and Messrs Collins, Aitken, and Pirani. The principal (Mies C. M. Cruickahank, M.A.) reported that the total number on the roll of the College was 253, of whom 7 attended for music only, and 107 were boarders. The chairman reported that Mr A. B. Charters, MLA., had consented to distribute the peizes at the end of the year. The resdgnatwn of Mias Graar, sixth assistant, was received and accepted, and it'was resolved to writ© to her and thank her for her past services and extend to her the Board’s good wishes for the future. Leave of absence waa granted to Mrs McKenzie and Messrs Gordon, Bruce, and Fraser.
