OPENING OF INQUIRY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association, Received November 15, 10.30 a.m. MELBOURNE, November 15. Mr Justice Ewing, as Royal Commissioner, opened the inquiry into the Port Darwin trouble, and adjourned the hearing to Darwin, where the evidence of the late officials will, be taken. The Commissioner said certain statements had been made about Dr Gilruth. He intended to advise Dr Gilruth, and give him a chance of being represented if he desired.
