'J he play was a screen adaptation of the famous story of the same name from the pen of the brilliant author, George Randolph Chester, and was put into picture form by June Mathis. The story is that of a live-wire young business man who finds himself on the verge of bankruptcy. Js ho downhearted?— Never. He decides that he will woo fortune boldly and get himself a million. This minion has to be made in the incredibly short time of six weeks—the reason being a girl. To marry this girl the million has to be forthcoming in the time mentioned and so, in a thorough tly practical way, which makes the beholder' wonder why he never thought to use the same simple and obvious methods of acquiring a fortune, tjjis young man sets himself the task of making live thousand an hour. The concert given in the Trinity schoolroom last Saturday will be repeated in the Wanganui East Tovjr Hall to-morrow evening. The conceit party ha ve become popular, and a good attendance is expected.
