MILITARY TEAM’S VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND.

The secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council has been advised by Sir James Allen that he has received a cablegram from the Commonwealth Minister of Defence, stating that the latter has no objection to the Australian Imperial Forces’ cricket team, which is now in South. Africa, touring New Zealand after its return to Australia, provided no expense to the Commonwealth Defence Department is incurred. The manager of the team has been so informed.

The New Zealand Cricket Council has received a challenge from the Palmerston North High School to play the winner of the match between Auckland Grammar School and King’s College for the Heathoote- Williams Shield. The dates sugested by the Palmerston School for the match are December 17th and, 18th.
