THE COMING SHOW.

A PROMISING FEATURE. GOOD ENTRIES RECEIVED. Exhibitors in almost every class have made an excellent response for the forthcoming Spring Show which is to be held on Wednesday and Thursday next, and favoured with fine weather the fixture will prove a big attraction for the public. The horse entries are numerically strong. In cattle record entries have been received for Shorthorns, while the Hcrefords... milking Shorthorns, and Aberdeen Angus will also make a fine display. The Jerseys. Eriesians, and Ayrshire entries are numerically weakJn the sheep classes there has been a good response on the part of Romney and Lincoln breeders, while the other breeds will also be represented. Fat stock promises to be a fine feature. There will be 47 pens of fat cattle and 67 pons of fat sheep and lambs, , The dog exhibits, which will be under the control of the Wanganui Canine Society, will be good in numbers and quality. In Pomeranians and toy classes there will be record fields. About 40 pig entries have been received, but competition is confined to a couple of breeders. As in previous years, splendid entries have been received for the Homo Industries section. Over 800 entries have been received for the cooking classes, and there are 120 entries for the Returned Soldiers. Seventv-two entries have been received for boys amateur judging, wool classing, and milking test. , . There will be a large number of attractions for visitors on the * ,con “ dav of the Show. A grand parade of stock, and a fine programme of ring events will no doubt prove great attractions. As the result of the tional -prtaes offered, the hunters jumping competition andleaping event (steeplechase style) have each drawn 17 entrants.
