HIS MAJESTY’S. The programme which will he finally screened to-night is one of the most interesting and beautiful collection of subjects yet shown at this house. The theatre was comfortably filled again last night, and Harold Lockwood and May Allison added fresh laurels to their many triumphs in “The Hidden Children.” To-morrow evening the star attraction will be a Goldwyn feature, “The Woman on the Index,” in which the great emotional actress, Pauline Fredericks, plays the .leading role. Every scene pulsates with excitement. the variety of gorgeous gowns in this feature is more than surprising. Seats may be reserved at Upton’s. EVERYBODY’S THEATRE. George Walsh’s antics on the screen produce a continuous round of laughter in “On The Jump,” showing for the last time to-night at Everybody’s Theatre. The comedian is a Liberty Bond salesman, and also arrests the master German spy who is directing sabotage work, and unearths the 30 million dollar fund with which Germany hoped to establish a chain of American newspapers to sway public opinion. To-morrow Hale Hamilton will appear in a George Randolph Chester’s story, “5,000 an Hour,” a great sporting drama, showing the Saratoga races. EMELIE POLIN'! SEASON. J. and N. Tait’s company, which scored such an emphatic success on Monday last in “Eyes of Youth,” return to the Opera House to-morrow evening with “Do Luxe Annie,” a play of mystery and thrills, which features Miss Emilie Polini in a powerful emotional role. That her triumph on Monday evening was well deserved none will gainsay, and theatre-goers here are' sure to desire a renewal of their acquaintanceship with the brilliant young artist by visiting the Opera House to witness the second production of the J. and N. Tait company. The box plan is rapidly filling at H. I. Jones and Son’s. ’ OPERA HOUSE. MRS EYA CRAVEN WHEELER. An event of great interest to Wanganui is tlie visit of one of America’s foremost speakers, Mrs Eva Craven-Wheeler, who will give an address on the subject of Prohibition at the Opera House on Friday next. The lecturer is one of the finest American orators, and her addresses suntilate with humour. It is to be hoped there will be a large attendance.
