GOLF.
PATEA v, WAVERLEY. A match with the Waverley club was played on Saturday afternoon, the weather conditions, being ideal for golf. The Patea ladies won their match by one game, two of the games being halved. The Waverley men won their match by two games. The following shows the- results of the various games— Waverley players being mentioned first in every case:— i . . ' LADIES’ MATCH. * Mi’s Dickie lost to Miss T. Gibson, Mrs Muir halved with Mrs Thompson, Mrs Johnston halved with Mrs Booth, Miss Oleary lost to Mrs Pulley, Miss Bourke won from* Mrs Dunn. ■ MEN’S MATCH. Muir won from Pulley, Bradmore lost to Jones, Johnston lo&t to Thompson, Parsons won from Gilbert, Cave won from Harrison, Dickie lost to Brewer, McKerpan won from Strouts, Metcalfe won from Stephenson.
