Attention is drawn elsewhere in this issue to the system of healing known as Suggestive Therapeutics, with which Mr A. G . Mackay, of Wicksteed' Street, Wanganui, has had remarkable success. The system of healing certain disorders, particularly nervous and functional, by Suggestion is becoming more and more widely known as an important branch of the healing art., and as its methods lie wholly in invoking the power of Nature herself, and in calling forth the reenperative powers which she has endowed the human body. Suggestive Therapeutics are frequently able to deal with cases which do not respond to other methods of treatment, Mr Mackay has had. great success in dealing with nerve cases, particularly those caused by the war, both among civilians and soldiers, in the ease of the latter, shell-shock and general nervous derangement generally yielding to his treatment. To correct any misunderstanding, Mr Mackay desires to point out that the impression that Suggestive Treatment implies Hypnotism is not correct. , Those who desire Hypnotic Treatment can have it if they wish, but he never undertakes it except by the consent and desire of the patient, preferring to use the suggestive method. In order that a, patient’s case may he thoroughly understood, Mr Mackay always gives an opportunity for talking matters over before treatment begins, and consultations are free by appointment.
