SOLDIERS IN MENTAL HOSPITALS.

(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 12. The Hon. G. W. Russell, Miniate* of Health, had inquiries made concerning complaints about t>he treatment of returned soldiers in Avondale Mental Hospital. Recently it was stated in Auckland, on the authority ol the Returned Soldiers' Association, that those men were being treated with unnecessary harshness. Hon. Russell says there are only four? soldiers in the Auckland Mental Hospital.
