SENSATIONAL AFFAIR.

MAN SHOOTS WOMAN AND fbEN SUICIDES. (Per United Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, January 30. A 'sensational shooting affair occurred last night. Frederick Annjson, an architect, about fifty years of age, met Margaret Brennan, a married woman, in Victoria Avenue. After walking a short distance he suddenly drew a revolver and shot the woman through the throat- The woman succeeded in •reaching home, and was then removed to the hospital in a serious condition. Annison disappeared, but was traced to a boarding house. When a detective arrived he shot himself in the head, death being instantaneous. The motive is unknown. The two had been friendly, but latterly- their relations had been strained.
