IN ABYSSINIA AND SOMALILAND

(Reuter’s Telegram.) Received January 29, 9.45 a.m. LONDON, January 28. Turkish agents are attempting to create frceh trouble in Abyssinia, in Italian Erietrea, by stirring up the Mohammedan element. Turkey is also sending arms and ammunitions to the natives in British Somaliland.

The Foreign Minister, addressing the .Second Chamber, protested against the British holding up Dutch ships, but admitted that armed merchantmen would be regarded as warships if they entered Dutch colonial port*, unless merely taking provisions.
