HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. A dramatic production shewing the useful part the Boy Scouts sire playing in England was the chief attraction in the new programme presented’at His Majesty’s Theatre last evening, before a largo audience. The picture is entitled “The Lion's Cubs,” and it was produced by the London Company, which has brought out such notable films as “England's Menace” and “On His Majesty’s Service.” The plot deals with the German spy system and the attempt of two Germans to gain possession of important plans from French officers who are visiting England. The Boy Scouts are put on the alert by one of their number overhearing that an aeroplane is to convey a message, from England to Germany. Ho tracks the spies down and regains the plans. A message is flashed to another Scout camp and the spies are captured, and their aeroplane secured as a trophy,of war. There is not a dull moment in the film, and it shows how the Scouts have been utilised bv the. military authorities to guard the bridges, roads, etc., in England. Their mariner of carrying out these important duties is show in the picture. The programme includes a laughable comedy, “The Professional Scapegoat.” The Australian Navy and a Ga.umont Graphic make up a very good programme. All iScouts of Gonville, Wanganui East, and Wanganui Troops are urged to he on parade on Saturday afternoon at the T.Y.M.I. rooms, to meet District Commander Matthews, at 2 p.m. sharp. The combined troops will march to His Maiesty’s Theatre to see the pictures of the work being done at Home by their brother-Scouts.
