PATRIOTIC FUNDS. Mr T. B. Williams (chairman of the Patriotic Committee) acknowledges the receipt from the Railway Department of £9 lls 6d for Belgian relief, and £ll 139. for wounded soldiers. Tha day pupils at the Technical College have subscribed to the Wounded Soldiers’ Fond the following amounts;— Proceeds from social £2 4a :id, and donation from students in the engineering course 7s. The latter amount was to have been expended in afternoon tea. as the re-alt of a foot ha It win over the rest of the Col legif but « generously handed over to the above fund instead. The pupils are now on vacation. Before breaking up; they all agreed to devote one day to inereaeing the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund. Many novel ways of raising money and of providing comforts were suggest'd, and a substantial addition to the fund may he expected.
