PRIME MINISTER SAYS MOT IN N.Z, (By Telegraph.—Special to “Herald ’ ) WELLINGTON, September '2. The member for Wallace asked a few days ago whether the American Beef Trust—including the, firms of Armour and Co., Swift and Co., Morris, and Co., and Sulzberger and Co., of Chicago, wore operating in New Zealand. "Yesterday, the Prime Minister replied as follows; Neither of- the firms mentioned (nor Cudahy and Co.,’ another linn reputed to he associated with the so-called trust) are operating. iu New Zealand under their own names. Since .March last, all New Zealand beef, mutton. and lamb available for export has been shipped to the Imperial Government.
