PROFITS FOR SEASON TO PATRIOTIC FUND. (Per United Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH. August 31. At the annual meeting of the Manawatu R. C. last night, Mr. J. H. P. Strang presiding, it was decided unanimously with acclamation that the net profits for the coming year he devoted to tho Sick and -Wounded. The net profits are to oe arrived at without allowing for depreciation or increases in stakes on the basis of last year’s turnover. It is estimated that the amount thus available as a donation from the Club will be not less than four thousand five hundred sterling.
