At tho third day’s sitting of tho Plunket Society's Conference) tho following resolution was passed:—Delegates are strongly of opinion that the condition of tho milk supply shuud be brought under tho notice of tho Government with a view to its improvement. This resolution is to bo brought under the notice of tho Prime Minister by a deputation which is to wait on Mr Massey to-morrow.

A considerable amount of routine business was transacted, and tho conference adjourned.

WELLINGTON, July 10.

The Plunket Society conference resolved to ask tho Minister of Education to have all women inspectors to homes, where, children are boarded out, State-trained at tho ivaritano Hospital, the Society to hear the expense. That the Central Council prepare a uniform case and note books, and that all reports from branches of t'uo Society bo forwarded to the nearest district health officer. DEPUTATION TO MR. FRASER. A large deputation of delegates of the Plunket Society Conference waited on the Prime Minister to-day. Replying, Mr Massey said that the Government would endeavour to relieve Dr. Truby King from the duties at Scae'.iff for a portion of the year, to enable him to devote more time to the work of the Plunket Society. He promised to consider an increased grant for the Karitano Hospital, Dunedin, when framing the supplementary estimates. Ho agreed as to the necessity of a pure milk supply for Auckland. Tho animals and the dairies wore rood as was the water supply, and the dairying utensils were regularly inspected. lie wished he could say tho tame for other centimes.

Tho lion. Mr Rhodes said he had always favoured the controlling of the milk supply of towns.

The Hon. Mr Allen said that tho women connected with the movement were a great nat’onal asset to the Dominion.
