testing its genuineness. A GRAbIn~THE DARK. Press Association.-—Telegraph.—Copyright Received March 7, 9.55 a.m. SYDNEY, March 7. The Daily Telegraph states that a well-known spiritualist was giving a seance in a room which was full of people. with the lights low. Several spirits ay-geared, when a gentleman to whom tne mediuiP was under engagement, v ilhing to tost the genuineness of the spurts, made a-grab at the ghostly apparition. He encountered sumo flimsy material, and, a light being struck, showed that he-held one end of a mosquito netting with the medium tugging at the other. The medium did not accept a chance to explain, but bolted to the street hatless, pursued by some of the audience. The medium, interviewed later, declared that/ the. demonstration was genuine, and that spirits .actually materialised. The statement that lie held one end of the drapery was absolutely false. One of the audience who accompanied him on his flight and searched the medium, interviewed, supported the medium’s statements.
