AUCKLAND GAS CONSUMERS.

TO PAY MORE. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, .March G. The Auckland Gas Co. notify consumers that in consequence of the steady rise in all' coats of manufacture, accentuated by the effects of the late strike, the Co. find it necessary to increase its revenue. The directors are adverse to increasing the price of gas, and have decided instead to make a charge for meter rent which to 75 per cent, of the consumers will amount to sixpence a month and to layrer consumers nincpence a month.
