DANCERS OF FLYING. Press Association.—Telegraph.— Copyright. LONDON, March 5. The Right Hon. Winston Churchill, speaking at the Aero Club, said the public should realise that the flying risk was not excessive. Since ho had been at the Admiralty more lives had been lost in submarines than in die air service. He predicted that aviation would exercise a potent influence in the military destinies of States. He considered the trans-Atlan-tic flight was premature and unduly risky. IN NEW ZEALAND. TIMARU-CHRISTCHURCII FLIGHT. (Per United Press Aasociatioi) TIMARU, March 6. Scotland left Timaru shortly after, 8 on an aerial flight to Christchurch. In a preliminary flight one of the planes went wrong, and ho landed on Quarry Hill, Fair View Road, to adjust it. He got away beautifully, sailed over Timaru, and then struck a line due north, 400 to 500 feet high. The weather was fine, with no wind. The flight w’as watched by a great many people.
