The bulk of the yarding consisted of back country lines of f.m. ewes, and for these the market was somewhat slacker than of late, prices showing a slight casing. A choice line of early shorn maiden 4-tooth owes, on account of Mr G. F. Moore, elicited keen competition, making up to hi. We quote.— Sheep.—t-tonth ewes, good l!)s to hi ; small do 12.1 3d; 4 and 5-ycar 1.35, 13t ; 4d, 13s sd, 13s fid, 1.3s Bd, Its Id to 14s 3d; backward conditioned do 8s .3d, Ifls to Ids 8d ; cull ewes ‘2s 'fid, 4s, 5.5; lambs 7s fid; 4-tooth wethers to 17s; south down rams 5 guineas: Shropshire rams 3 guineas: romney rams 1J to 3 guineas. Cattle.—Milch cows'hs to hfi; 18-month heifers h3 4s fid to h3 10s.
