PRESERVATION OF CORDITE
, (Times and Sydney Sun Services.) ' LONDON, March 4. The greatest secrecy is being maintained regarding the discovery of a preservative for cordite, which deteriorates in hot climates. The treatment is based on molybdenum. In view of cordite losses, the French authorities are inquiring as to deposits of molybdenum in Australia, and within a month the price of the ore has risen from 75s to 110s, while supplies are unobtainable.
