The Australasian Methodist Conference has resolved that: the time has arrived for a more strenuous effort to be made for a complete, and effective Evangalisation of the Bismark Archhipelago, and the establishment 6f a Mission Board to carry ont the work. 1 It was decided to send fraternal greetings to the. Free Church of Tonga, expressing the hope that ere long it would be reunited. The Tongan churches axe asking that the next conference of the Free Church consider the question,; and in the event of a union of two Tongan churches being found possible before the next Australasian Conference is held, authorising the President to take steps to give effect thereto. The Conference declared against a motion for giving Native ministers equal status with European, where questions of character arose relating to European ministers.
