THE ROYAL PICTURES. PANAMA CANAL PICTURES AND CHANGE TO-NIGHT.

Y.M.C.A. ALL NATIONS FAIL. The meeting of young men held last night in the Borough Council Chambers, and presided over by Mr J. F. Holloway, was enthusiastic, and augurs well for the success of the All Nations Fair. Considirablo detail business was transacted, Mr fl. T. Pichardo was appointed to act in conjunction with the ladies on behalf of the bookstall. The plans of the new F.M.C.A. building, in which the fair wilt be held, wore presented by Mr It. M. Helm, and a sub-committee was set up to meet the ladies’ executive. Arrangements are in hand for special attractions, and those will bo announced later. The lovelty store, which is in the hands of the young men, is to take the form of a miniature Dreadnought, in honour of the vint of H.M.S. New Zealand to Wanganui’s waters. The next meeting is to be hold on Wednesday week.

OPEN-AIR CONCEPT. On Sunday afternoon the Garrison Rand, under Conductor A. Wade, will give an open-air concert in the rotunda, commencing at 1) o’clock. The Band has boon actively rehearsing new music, recently selectee! by Mr Wade while in oydney, and several new numbers will be included in the programme on Sunday afternoon, including the fine “Coronation Overture,’' arranged by J. Ord Hume. Owing to some members of the Band being otherwise engaged, the first of the winter .vccitalb will commence on June 8, instead of the Ist us originally intended.
