BONES IN A CAVE.

AN OVER-CROWN SKULL. TE’KUITI. July 3. A new cavo was discovered by Mr. W. T. Johnston on iiis property at Mangatiki, a tow days ago, and proved to be the repository of some strange human remains. The cave was not a large one, and within Mr. Johnston eamo upon a skeleton and some other human bones. The skeleton was remarkable for the size of tho chunium, which was much larger than that of an ordinary man, and was otherwise peculiar. No teeth seemed to have grown in the back part of the lower jaw, and the front teeth seemed to have grown inwards. Mr. Johnston will probably send the skull to the curator of the Auckland Museum for examination.
