ENTERTAINED IN LONDON. LONDON. July 0. At a luncheon at the United Club, Sir John Findlay, Sir E. Morns, and other other.sea visitors were present. The Hon. Walter Long, in proposing “Our Guests,” said that throughout the Imperial Conference there had been one unbroken thread of dee'i and genuine affection on the part of the Dominions for the Motherland. This would enable Britain to look forward with as much confidence to the future as she could look back with pride to the past. Sir Joseph ward, in responding to the toast, declared that he had never anticipated tlie possibility of forcing the pace quicker than tho representatives of the Motherland would allow. One thing whereon all were agreed, and which he did not regard as a party question, was naval defence of the Empire as a whole. (Cheers.')
