’ THE RUDD-BLACKMORE FIASCO. MEETING OF N.Z. COUNCIL. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Alarch 31. , / The Rudd-Blackmoro fiasco is again before the N.Z. Boxing Council. On Wednesday, further correspondence was received from the Hawke’s Bay Association dealing with the method of enquiry adopted by the committee. The Council was of opinion that the enquiry was not as full as should have been, and it was decided to request the Association to deal with the statement concerning the match which it was alleged had been made publicly. -; ; The Council decided that under the Council’s rules the. “kidney punch” was illegal, and any competitor using tho blow should be disqualified; that no band bandages be permitted in amateur contests except for a recent injury; that bandages he permitted in professional contests; that the Council would provide each local Association with tlie sample of material to be used and with the method of adjustment ; that, in regard to counting out, the matter should be optional, leaving it tp ’each promoting body to either select tho -referee for the duty or appoint a special official. ...
