TURNER COMMITTED TO GAOL. Press Association.—Telegraph.-Copyright. SYDNEY, March 29. : The High Court fixed the penalties payable in the Turner Customs fraud cases, at £5120. As Turner failed to find security for the payment of the money or to find bail, the Court ordered his committal to gaol until the penalties are paid. Ernest Samuel Turner, carrying on busi-. ness as a general motor company, was proceeded against for penalties, for defrauding. the Customs- in connection with the importation, of motor cars by means of false forms and entries. •- call for trans-Atlantic steamers.
