BRUTAL RUSSIAN WARDERS.

Sixteen warders at Ekatrinburg ha vcbecn sentenced to terms varying from one mouth to 21 years for cruelty. Evidence was given by 100 witnesses, 60 of whom were victims of thrashings with knouts, made from ox tendons, wrapped with strips of raw hide, and the ends bound with iron wire. Those flogged included' political prisoners.
