(Per United Press Association.) ASHBURTON, March 23. The Ashburton Mail and Guardian Company was to-day served by Mr C. IV. Nico'ls with a writ claiming iloOl damages lor an alleged libel in a letter signed “Ratepayer,” which' appeared in the Guardian last mouth.
