CHAFFINCH MINE CASES.
“SALTING” SUGGESTED. Press Association.—Telegraph.-Copyright. Received March 24, 9.55 a.ra. PERTH, March 24. In the Chaffinch mine cases, one witness, referring to a certain sbaj-j transaction, considered there was nothing dishonorable in “bulling” and “bearing” on the share market. De Rox, representative of the Yilgaru development syndicate, detailed a conversation with Greenway in December, wherein thd latter expressed the opinion that the mine had been “salted.” His reasons for this opinion were that specimens taken from a trench contained hornblende, which was not present on the property.
