AN UNUSUAL APPLICATION.
(Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, March 22. A somewhat unusual application came before liis Honor Mr Justice Williams, due to a curious mistake in the wdl.-of Bridget Elizabeth McCrcdio, widow. 'Die will cojitained a clause bequeathing all her household effects and goads plcasdig to women to her mimed iViury Brown, of Mataura. Tile evidence showed that there are three granddaughters named Brown at Mataura, hut not one Mary Brown, and not one was known as “Mary.” ; It was stated, also, that the next-of-kin, Richard Howard, was wanderinn' about in Australia. An order was made that the legacy lapsed to Mary Brown through uncertainty, and that in-quiries-be made for the next-of-kin.
