ALLEGED THEFT OF GOODS.

THE DUNEDIN ARRESTS. (Per United Press Asfef&iation). DUNEDIN. March 22. Arising out of the charges of alleged theft of goods against two men yesterday, the detectives last night arrested Frances E. Bell, a wido#i' who has been employed at fho D.lfC.' rfnd Dreaser’s, on a charge of stealing Doulton, clfina, and glassware from the D.I.C. valued at £SO. Her daughter was also apprehended on a charge of receiving goods alleged fo have been taken by 6ne of the male offenders. If, was stated by the police that the latter accused bad signed a statement admitting that she had received goods from a man already on remand, and that she knew that they were stolen. The accused wa* remanded on bail. In Ihe cdse against the mother, the police. the accused admitted taking some, of tho-goods away herself and sending the others in parcels to her house. When the house was searched a great' varioty of, goods were discovered. This accused was also remanded on bail.
