M., Champion, the Auckland : swimmer who, has been selected to compete in the Festival of Empire sports, leaves for Wellington by the Main Trunk train tomorrow morning to catch the Corinthic at .Wellington, provided a satisfactory sura is raised for the support of his dependents during his absence. Champion is in splendid form, and will probably win both swimming events nt the meeting.
