EXPLOSION ON A LAUNCH
A NARROW ESCAPE. (Per United Press Association A THAMES, April 29. ’ A narrow escape from serious accident, which might have caused loss of life, has occurred. By some means not yet ascertained there was an explosion on one of Ihe launches running from Thames to the, Hauraki land, which is being opened for settlement. An occupant named Brennan was severely burnt about the face, head, and hands. He was conveyed to the hospital, but his condition is not serious.
