JUSTIFIABLE HOMICIDE. Press Association —Telegraph.—Copyright SYDNEY, April 28. In the case of Caroline Hackman, charged with the murder of her husband The evidence disclosed that the accused had been subject to much ill-usage. A verdict of justifiable homicide was returned.
Mrs Buckmau, a farmer’s wife, living near Narrahri, gave herself up to the police. She stated that she shot her husband dead. It was supposed that the latter struck her with a stick, and that she resorted to firearms.
