ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER
A SON’S STORY. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 27. Henry James Hans, n was charged yesterday with the attempted murder of his son Arthur at Ngunguru on April 15th. The hearing lasted until a late hour last night. The accused pleaded not guilty, and reserved his defence. He was committed to tlio Supreme Court for trial. No bail was asked for. The son, who was shot in the groin by his lather, said in his evidence that he crawled under the bed after being shot. His father observed him there, and remarked, “Oh, you’re there, are you? Say your prayers now, old man, you’re dying. You’re the man that , was going to take his mother and brothers away. 'You won’t take them where -you’re 1 going!, You’re going to hell." ’ 1
