MAIL SERVICES.
THE VANCOUVER ROUTE. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 27. The resuscitation of the mail service between New Zealand and Europe by way of the Pacific is being energetically worked for by the President of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce (Air J. H. Gunson), and at the present time negotiations are in progress between him and Sir Joseph Ward and Sir James Mills (Managing Director of tho Union Company) in connection with the. Vancouver service. Sir James Mills left for Australia the other day on business connected with this service, and upon his arrival in Australia the Auckland Chamber of Commerce expects to receive communications from him on the question of a possible alteration of the service so as to include Auckland as a port of call. Sn Joseph Ward, has also been ' comnim.icated with on the subject of the Gove n meats support to such a proposa'. a ail the Chamber is now awaiting a reply from the Premier.
