VETO RESOLUTIONS DENOUNCED

Mr Balfour, addressing a meeting of the Primrose Leagn. at the Alhe si Hail, denounced the veto propo-a’s as a revolutionary attempt to make the majority ol the House of Commons, however it could he produced, absolute nm-ter of the Constitution from the Ifovercign downward-. The Government did not bargain with the Irish, but simply hinted that if the Budget was passed they would oiler up to them the King and Constitution. He believed that the Government was using the financial machinery of the country .ortho purpose of making it impossible for the people to be consulted if present machina-tions-to coerce the King failed.
ANOTHER SPEECH. LONDON, April 27. Mr Balfour, during a speech in the Albert Hall, said that it the great selfgoverning communiti's did their duty, the Government's constitutional revolution would utterly fail. When responding to a vote of thanks, Mr Balfour said that believers in social and fiscal reform mu-t. besides defending the Constitution, work upon the lines of the Unionists’ pc drive and constructive programme.
