WANGANUI NO-LICENSE LEAGUE

. A very successful and insniriting meeting of the_Wanganui.No-License League was held in the Trinity Schoolroom,'on Ihursday evening. Mr. G. Carson presided over an excellent attendance. Apologies for absence wore received from the Kev. J. D. McKenzie and Mr. W. G. Bassett. Addresses were given by tlm chairman, Mr. Walter Grey, Mr. Forbes (treasurer of the League), Rev. S. Bailey and Rev. J. A. Luxford. A feature of the evening was a vivid account by Sister Kellie of. her work- among the Maoris of the West Coast Musical items were rendered by Mrs. Hambiv and Miss May Jones. Votes of thanks to the members of tho W.C.T.U, for pioviding refreshments, and ,to those uho had assisted in the, success of the meetimr. concluded a very pleasant and profitable gathering.
