BLAZE AT WELLINGTON.
SERIOUS DAMAGE. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 31. Early this morning a fire was discovered in a large brick building in Stout Street, occupied by J. E. Butler, Ltd., wholesale saddlers. After two hours’ hard work the brigade succeeded in extinguishing the flames. The building was only slightly damaged, but the contents suffered severely from 'fire and water. The building was insured for .£SOOO in the London, Liverpool, and Globe office, and the contents for £46sfKin the same office, ■£2ooo in the Nor%, British, £IOOO in the National, and .£2500 in the Standard. Several other tenants also suffered.
