OUR VOLUNTEERS.
DAYLIGHT PARADE AND RECRUITS’ MUSKETRY COURSE. To-morrow (Thursday) and Saturday afternoons the trained men of the Highland and Irish Rifle Volunteers will hold a daylight parade, assembling each day at the Rifle Range at 2 p.m.; uniform, field service. On Thursday and Saturday, at the same time and place,, ail recruits of the four infantry companies will fire their annual course of musketry (not in uniform). Free ammunition will be issued by the several companies to members taking part, on the range at 1.45 p.m., from the magazine nearest the entrancegate. Each company is requested to provide one marker for Saturday only, and the caretaker will mark for the Thursday half-holiday recruits. BOY SCOUTS. The members of the above will assemble at- Christ Church Schoolroom for their regular weekly training to-night at 7.30 o’clock, withu bandagcs, staves, and flags. As there - are still a few boys not ' measured for uniforms, all such are particularly requested to be present at tonightV parade, and in view of the approaching examinations in first aid, signalling, knotting and splicing, and scout laws, every boy should be present at all parades.
