Tire Seine is 12 feet above its normal height, and is continuing to rise owing to snow and heavy rains. Parisians are alarmed that there will be a flooding of the underground railways. Three lines have ceased running owing to submerged sections. There is also a danger that tlie river will reach the level of the sewers. Tbs bear pit in the Zoological Gardens is flooded.
