AUCKLAND EDUCATION BOARD
Annual Report (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 21. The annual report of the Auckland Education Board shows that there are 506 schools and 961 teachers in the district. 816 of the latter were above the rank of pupil teacher. The difficulty of filling the vacancies with certificated teachers had been intensified by the Education Act of last year. The receipts were J8197,955, and the expenditure left a credit of ,£28,143.
