THE MINISTER OF MINES.
(Par United Prem Association.) WESTPORT, April 1. The Hon. R. McKenzie, Minister of Mines, arrived in Westport last night, coming overland from Nelson. He was tendered a complimentary social in the Victoria Theatre last night. He received a deptuation from the School of Mines and the County Council this morning, and laid the foundation stone of the School of Mines at noon, after which a complimentary luncheon was tendered him by the council of the School. He left this afternoon for Seddonville.
