■ m> (Per United Frees Association^. NAPIER, March 31. The autumn show of the Hawke's Bay I Agricultural and Pastoral Society"was held at Hastings to-day in fine weather, and was largely attended. The fruit and vegetable displays were particularly good, especially apples, pears, and peaches. It is not too much to say that it has never been excelled in Hawke's Bay, whilst the judge of vegetables stated that these classes were beautiful, both as regards quality, size, and variety. There was no competition in district exhibits, but the only entry — that of the Hastings branch of the Farmers' Union — was comprehensive and of high quality. The following were the winners of points prizes : — Fat sheep— O. Nelson (54) 1, A. S. G. Carlyon (22) 2. Honey and Beeswax. — 0. R. Bostock (35) 1, D. McCulloch (6) 2.
