10 THE KHTTOK. Sir, — Your correspondent "M.G." seems to be such a broad-minded person that it surprises one that he is found favouring an alleged reform which was conceived in Wowserdom. I believe that on that account alone no good can possibly come of it. Every man, of course, ha.s a different conception of the Deity, and I am inclined to think that when the Wowser offers* up in prayer thanksgiving for a political success — and he geiif—.lly does so under the indigestible influence i>f a bellyful of buns unJ ginger bee. —11^ laughs. — I am, etc., ANTI-WOWSER.
