WANGANUI-BAETIHI RAILWAY.

Mr Hogan is to ask the Minister for Railways whether he will authorise an exploratory suryey for a railway route between Wanganui and Raetihi.

Mr Hogan says there is an immense area of land between Wanganui and the Main Trunk Line that will never be served by that line, and it ie believed that there are many suitable routes available for a branch line between Wanganui, Ractihi, and Ohakune.
