The attention of owners arid trainers 'is directed to the fact that entries for the Wanganui Guineas, to' be run at fb'e spring meeting in 1909, and also for the Jackson Stakes, ,to be run at the autumn meeting in 1910, close on Monday, November 2, with Mr W. Hall, secretary. An advertisement in connection with each race appears in. another column, and a perusal thereof will show that the club has raised the prize money in connection with the Guineas "from 300 to 400 guineas, while the Jackson Stakes of 1910 will be worth 500 soys instead of 300. The increased value of the stakes, together with the fact that the forfeit dates have been made much later, should make both events much more attractive to owners, and the club should receive big entries' for both of these vnts. - l
