(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 30.

When the House resumed to-night Mr Colvin asked, without notice, what steps the Government intended to take in regard to the Westport murder case. The Prime Minister, in the absence of the Minister of Justice, said the Government had been advised of the position, and was aware that Connolly had. signed a confession. Jt was the desire of (the Government to do what was right tend fair towards the two men undergoing imprisonment, and the proper course would" be followed. That was being done, and the necessary action would be taken! to-morrow morning.
